Learn about this unique indigenous Appalachian leek while enjoying local arts, crafts and live music. Local food vendors show off scrumptious ramp dishes! While enjoying the festival, enjoy one of our short 1-hour train trips! This is a local favorite!
The festivities start at 10am and continue until 4pm. Food vendors concoct delicious ramp-themed foods, like ramp burgers, ramperoni rolls, ramp chili, and ramp risotto with shrimp. There will be about fifty different food and craft booths at the festival.
If notice of cancellation is made prior to 48 hours before departure, we will be able to issue a 90% monetary refund (booking fees are non-refundable). If cancellation is made within 48 hours before departure, there will be no monetary refund. However, you may reschedule at any time for another date in the current season. Gift cards can also be issued for the full ticket amount (minus booking fees) at any time and will not expire. If you paid with only a credit card, self-cancellation is available via the “View Online” link in your booking confirmation email. If you paid with a gift card, please contact a Mountain Rail WV customer service representative at 304-636-9477 to cancel. Send all general reservation inquiries to [email protected].
The Ramps & Rails Train features enclosed cars with assigned seating. When booking cars N-506, T-850, C-324, and D-1493, you will choose your own seats at traditional 4-top tables. When booking car P-120, seating will be CUSTOM, which means we will pre-arrange tables to seat you together based on your party size. If parties with separate bookings (i.e., Jones party of 2 and Smith party of 4) want to be seated together in the Parlor Car, please add a note to the comments box when completing payment so that we can make every effort to seat your parties close together.
Due to the historical nature of the equipment and a non-standard platform, this train is not wheelchair accessible. There are multiple steps to board the train, but there are handrails to help.
