ELKINS LOCATION

This wilderness excursion departs from Elkins and features mountain grades, an “S” curve tunnel, a high bridge and miles of unspoiled mountain views. Vintage diesel-powered locomotives climb along the cascading Shavers Fork of the Cheat River to the High Falls of Cheat. Enjoy the view relaxing aboard our comfortable climate controlled passenger coaches. A cold cut lunch is included in the ticket price and served onboard.

ALL NEW TYGART FLYER TRIPS SCHEDULED THROUGH MAY JUNE 1, 2025 WILL BE TRAVELING NORTH ALONG THE TYGART RIVER TO TYGART JUNCTION. HIGH FALLS EXCURSIONS WILL TENTATIVELY START ON JUNE 5, 2025.

Join us on a rail adventure to help us figure out Whodunit in an exciting murder mystery! While the mystery unfolds, you’ll also be enjoying heavy hors d’oeuvres provided by the Railyard Restaurant in Elkins, WV and wine tastings provided by Lambert’s Winery of Weston! The train travels along the same route as the New Tygart Flyer.
