Join us Friday, April 3rd and Saturday, April 4th for a festive ride on the Cottontail Express!
This approximately 3-hour themed train ride departs Elkins at 11am and travels to the Easter Bunny Trail at Belington City Park, where vendors, activities, and springtime fun await. The Easter Bunny will be at the park for a special meet & greet. All children will receive cookies, juice, and a special gift, which are included in the ticket price. This special event is sure to be the perfect way to celebrate the start of the spring season with the whole family!

If notice of cancellation is made prior to 48 hours before departure, we will be able to issue a 90% monetary refund (booking fees are non-refundable). If cancellation is made within 48 hours before departure, there will be no monetary refund. However, you may reschedule at any time for another date in the current season. Gift cards can also be issued for the full ticket amount (minus booking fees) at any time and will not expire. If you paid with only a credit card, self-cancellation is available via the “View Online” link in your booking confirmation email. If you paid with a gift card, please contact a Mountain Rail WV customer service representative at 304-636-9477 to cancel. Send all general reservation inquiries to [email protected].

The Cottontail Express features enclosed cars with assigned seating. When booking cars Concession-506, T-850, C-324, and D-1493, you will choose your own seats at traditional 4-top tables. When booking car P-120, seating will be CUSTOM, which means we will pre-arrange tables to seat you together based on your party size. If parties with separate bookings (i.e., Jones party of 2 and Smith party of 4) want to be seated together in the Parlor Car, please add a note to the comments box when completing payment so that we can make every effort to seat your parties close together.

Due to the historical nature of the equipment and a non-standard platform, this train is not wheelchair accessible. There are multiple steps to board the train, but there are handrails to help.
