Join us on May 3 and 4th for a two-day photography event on the Cass Scenic Railroad. Our photo special will be limited to just 13 photographers, allowing for additional locations and unique scenes not possible with a larger group.

Day 1 will feature the Cass line to Bald Knob. On this day, riders will be treated to classic locations such as switchbacks, mountain overlooks, and winding s-curves. This will be the first photo special to Bald Knob since 2020! After dark, a traditional night photo session will follow.

Day 2 will feature the Cass to Durbin line. With our small group size, we will be able to stop at new locations such as the Trout Run bridge. For the first time ever, our train will be turned for the full 15-mile return to Cass, giving us the opportunity to photograph scenes like never before.

We plan to feature Heisler No. 6, which will be returning to service following a multi-year rebuild, skeleton log car, flat car and Chesapeake & Ohio caboose where you will ride. If substitute power is necessary, our train will be pulled by a Shay locomotive.

Unable to join us in May? The November Titans of Timber Weekend will be announced in the spring.

A variety of props and actors will be used throughout the two day event.

This train will not include a restroom on board. On Saturday, restrooms will be available at Cass prior to departure, Whittaker station and during our lunch break at Bald Knob.

On Sunday, restrooms will be available at Cass and during our lunch break in Durbin.

This trip has a moderate physical level with stops on hillsides and short hikes over rough terrain.

Ticket price does not include accommodations or transportation. A bagged lunch will be provided.
